It depends on whether you are parking in a facility with a barrier system (i.e. barriers at the entrance and exit) or a parking lot without. If you park in a facility with a barrier system, you cannot leave the facility and then return. You end your parking when you exit. If you park in a facility without barriers, and have a valid digital ticket or permit, you can leave the parking lot and then return and continue parking. This is provided that there are free parking spaces when you return.
There is no time limit on how far in advance you can purchase a visitor parking ticket. If you instead want to become a subscription customer and need an entry article or permit, it will take one week before you can start parking.
If you park as a visitor in a facility with barriers (or a facility with license plate recognition, so-called LPRS), you will be charged for the excess parking time at the exit. In a barrier garage, you pay with a card at the exit barrier, and in a facility with LPRS, the payment card you have connected will be charged. If you park as a visitor in a facility without barriers and you exceed your pre-purchased parking time, you risk receiving a control fee.
